We are a local Luxury Home and Property Photography Company proudly serving our neighbors throughout southwest Michigan and beyond.  Guided by our skilled and experienced team, our photography approach is careful, meticulous, and unique. We see your vision and capture it with real-life perspective images, lived-in scenes, acute attention to detail, and the ability to turn your hard-work and designs into a portfolio of aesthetic angles and art.


Where are we located?


Located in the small but mighty southwest corner of Michigan, proudly boasting our unsalted water, sandy shorelines, grassy beach dunes, and rolling vineyards, this little slice of heaven has become a hot secret for year-round vacationers.


What do we do?


At Bowen Aesthetics, we specialize in photographing homes and properties in Southwest Michigan [ and beyond ] for our local homeowners, property managers, interior designers, and small business owners. We pride ourselves in delivering a unique collection of photos that not only features those staple full-room images, but also captures all the little details and aesthetic angles that you spent so much time and energy perfecting to create a one-of-a-kind experience for your visitors.


How did we come about?


Gone are the days of piling the fam into a tiny hotel room. Travelers alike find themselves gravitating to luxurious vacation homes, beachfront properties, quaint cottages, and   pretty much anywhere  that feels like home away from home. Following suit, Southwest Michigan's rental properties have skyrocketed, flooding sites like Airbnb and VRBO with hundreds of beautiful homes to peruse. Ideal for the traveler; a job for the host! The need for an eye catching listing has never been greater, starting with high star ratings, stellar reviews, and some seriously click-worthy photos!

Bowen Aesthetics is an extension of Samantha Bowen Photography, owned and operated by Samantha Bowen.

Samantha began shooting homes in 2021, beginning with her own home that she and her husband decided to rent out to families seeking some R&R following the COVID-19 pandemic shut down. After momentarily dabbling in real estate photography, Samantha found her true calling with short term rentals and vacation homes, where her love of interior designing and photography could unite and flourish.

2026 Pricing


  • Roughly $0.21 / sqft (for homes less than 2500sqft)
  • A $50 refundable retainer fee is due at the time of booking and goes toward your overall balance
  • The remaining balance will be due within 24 hours of completing your session
  • Payment can be made via PayPal or Venmo (or cash or check if you do not have either)
  • A travel fee for over 30 miles from St. Joseph, MI will be added for an additional 0.55/mile
  • Exterior photos may take place at a later date for an additional $35 per home
  • Square footage approximations are acceptable (see below)

FAQ

How many photos will I get?

This depends on the size of your property, but you can expect somewhere between 75 and 150 for the smaller homes, and 200 and up for the larger homes. Obviously, way more than you'll need!

What is the process to book a session with you?

You can email me or fill out my inquiry form to get the ball rolling! From there, we will plan some basic details and then I will send you a link to officially book your session with me! $50 will be due at the time of booking and it goes toward your overall balance. The remaining balance will be due within 24 hours of completing of your session.

How will I receive my photos?

When your photos are done, you will receive an email with a link to view and download all your photos. All photos are digital (no prints) and have been professionally edited to make them pop on your listing.

How should I prepare for my photoshoot?

You will receive a final email from us about 5-7 days before your session with instructions on how to prepare for your session!

Do I have to be present for the photoshoot?

You don't! If you just want to give me info to access the home, I can lock up when I am done. You are also absolutely welcome to stick around and chat with me as I work!

How long will it take to get my photos?

Turnaround time for home sessions is technically 3-4 weeks, but the time of year and the size of your home could make it sooner (or even longer, in some cases).

Do you offer video?

You're in luck! As of Jan 2025, we are in the works of adding video tours and drone photos to our packages! Stay tuned!

What kind of photos can I expect?

You will receive horizontal (landscape) full room images, shots of aesthetic angles, real-life perspectives, and close ups of the little things around your place.

How long does the photoshoot take?

Depending on the size of the home, it will take 1-2 hours.

What is your photography style?

Our style is light and bright with emphasis on the natural lighting in your space. We don't use flash, so prior to your session we will ask you to open all blinds, curtains, and shades. Your session will take place between the hours of 10 and 3, and we will reschedule if it's extra dark or stormy that day (but the sun does not have to be present for it, either!).
